Managing Through the Coronavirus: China CEO Interview Series (1st Webinar)

The spread of the coronavirus is drastically changing how businesses operate. China-based CEOs were the first to encounter many of these changes and have had to come up with strategies for fractured supply chains, government ordered lockdowns, and changing consumer demands. AmCham Shanghai, partnering with the Washington State China Relations Council, presents a series of in-depth interviews with CEOs in China on their advice for companies managing through these extraordinary times.

The first webinar will focus on operational issues in the retail and hospitality industries. It will feature a discussion with Jolyon Bulley, China CEO of the global hotel group IHG, and Mark Israel, China CEO of Value Retail, a London-based operator of luxury retail village shopping centers. They will discuss how they have managed their businesses during a uniquely difficult time, the lessons they have learned, and how they are positioning their businesses for a recovery.
